Luna

Ever so often a truly dark night would come. And when that happened, Luna would leave her little house by the Ocean in a haste and climb the exactly one thousand stairs to the night sky. She would sit in the hollow of the sickle moon as if in a silver cradle and from her sea-filled eyes tiny drops of salt water would start falling all around, slowly turning into golden stars. She would then stay awake all night long, counting the stars and giving them odd names like Lollipop or Bonanza, braiding moonbeams into her hair and sending beautiful reveries to those of you that didn’t yet forget how to dream.
